“Jordi Raventós, whose project is called Clos dels Guarans, is a young and energetic grower in the Massís del Garraf zone of Penedès, but he sells his wines without appellation of origin, so the vintages are printed as part of the lot number on the back labels. He owns five hectares planted eight to 10 years ago, and he rents a further five hectares for the entry-level wines. Farming is organic but not certified, and the wines have personality and character.”
